Classic black and white 8" by 10" photograph (appears to be 2nd or 3rd generation) of the great Satchel Paige warming up for a game with the Cleveland Indians, circa 1948-49. After dominating for two decades in the Negro Leagues, Paige joined the Indians in 1948 at the age of 42 and pitched five very productive MLB seasons culminating with two All-Star nods for the St. Louis Browns. He even came out of retirement in 1965 to start a game for the Kansas City Athletics at age 59, shattering the record for the oldest to ever appear in a Major League game by nine years. Paige has signed and personalized this photo "Best Wishes From Satchel Paige To Tom" in strikingly bold black pen that PSA/DNA graded a perfect Gem Mint 10.
