Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn led the Milwaukee Braves to a 2-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on August 11, 1961—notching the second no-hitter of his career in the process! He would tack on another 63 more wins over the remaining handful of years, ending up the winningest left-hander in major league history.
Presented here is the
August 11, 1961 visiting manager's copy of the original Milwaukee Braves batting order line-up card to Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn's 300th career victory. Added to the side of the card is "Warren Spahn and line up who played in 300th Game Braves 2 6 1 Cubs 1 6 1". Milwaukee Braves manager Chuck Dressen has signed the bottom of the card in 9/10 looking blue ball point pen. Back of the card has the Milwaukee County Stadium Ground Rules. Measures 3 3/4" by 6 7/8". Card does have some creasing and quarter size piece of front paper loss at top center.
