Vin Scully is revered throughout sports as one of the best play-by-play sportscasters ever to sit behind the microphone. His 67 season calling games for the Dodgers began in 1950 when the team was located in Brooklyn and ended in 2016. This is the longest tenure of any broadcaster with one team in professional sports history. In April, Baseball Digest honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing him as an individual "who has made significant contributions to the national game."

Offered here is a full unused ticket from the final Dodgers game Scully called on October 2, 2016. Fittingly, the game was a matchup of the Dodgers against their chief rivals, the San Francisco Giants. He called just six road games during the 2016 season, three of which were the final regular-season series against the Giants. After the game, he offered a prayer and a final message: "You and I have been friends for a long time, but I know in my hear that I've always needed you more than you've ever needed me, and I'll miss our time together more than I can say. But you know what? There will be a new day and eventually a new year and when the upcoming winter gives way to spring, rest assured, once again it will be 'time for Dodger baseball.' So this is Vin Scully wishing you a very pleasant good afternoon, wherever you may be."

The full ticket offered here was given a Mint 9 grade by PSA, and presents beautifully. It is a must-have item for any Dodgers collector.
