There’s no bigger rivalry in the Ivy League than that of Harvard-Yale, and nowhere was it more on display than on the gridiron. The two universities began competing against each other in football beginning in 1875. To begin the new century, the two met at Yale on November 24, 1900. The home team proved to be the victor, winning 28-0 and claiming the first 20th Century National Champions. This wonderful Art Nouveau-inspired ticket admitted the original owner to this historic game. The ticket stub is in remarkable condition for its age with some corner wear as would be expected and a rough edge where it was torn upon entering the stadium. The original owner has thoughtfully added the game’s results by writing “Yale 28. Harvard 0.” In fountain pen. The ticket has been encapsulated and graded a VG 3 (MK) by PSA and is the only example they have authenticated.
