The 2018 season was the New England Patriots’ 49th season in the NFL, and they entered it with unfinished business, having fallen to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl the year before. The season is now best known for its conclusion, as the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII to mark Tom Brady’s sixth and final Super Bowl in New England. Along the way the Pats secured a tenth-straight AFC East title, becoming just the second team ever in the four major American professional sports to do so. In Super Bowl LIII, the Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3 in the lowest-scoring Super Bowl to date.

Presented here is a historic ring for many reasons, chief among them the fact that it is the largest Super Bowl ring ever made. The 10-karat gold football-shaped ring was created by Jostens and presented to running back Jeremy Hill. Prior to joining the Pats, the former LSU standout ran for 2,757 yards and 30 TDs in his first three NFL seasons with the Bengals, including 1124 yards as a rookie in 2014. Unfortunately for Hill, he tore his ACL in Week 1 of the 2018 season against the Texans and would not have a chance to shine in New England.

The ring stuns with an impressive 416 round diamonds and six marquise-cut diamonds totaling 8.25 Carats. 20 round blue sapphires represent the team’s 20 AFC East championships and total 1.60 carats, bringing the total weight in gems to 9.85 carats. The front of the ring displays the unmistakable Patriots logo set atop six Lombardi trophies, representing each of the record-tying six Super Bowl titles won by the franchise. The words “WORLD CHAMPIONS” are displayed on either side of the ring top. On the left shank of the ring is the player’s name “HILL” above Gillette Stadium’s view of the lighthouse and bridge. The diamond-encrusted player’s number “33” is placed to the left of the lighthouse, with the year “2018” to the right. Beneath both the lighthouse and bridge is “6X” to again commemorate the number of titles won by the franchise. The right shank of the ring says “PATRIOTS” in the team’s official font above the final 13-3 score and the Super Bowl LIII logo. The team’s 2018 playoff run rally cry, “STILL HERE,” appears below the logo to complete the shank.

The inside of the ring is stamped with owner Robert Kraft’s quote “WE ARE ALL PATRIOTS” above his signature and the date attributed to the saying. The palm crest features the years of the team’s previous five Super Bowl victories, paying further tribute to the Patriots’ two decades of excellence with Brady and Belichick. The ring comes in size 12.5, weighs 90 grams and includes its original presentational box.
