Exceptionally well preserved and autographed "Rumble in the Jungle" Ali vs. Foreman program. George Foreman, 24 years old at the time, would come in undefeated and had won virtually every heavyweight boxing belt in the world to date before facing his first significant road block to glory in Zaire, Africa. Ali, 8 years Foreman's senior was "past his prime" and was hungry for one more title shot. Ali, using his "rope a dope" strategy would wear down the young Foreman and take advantage of his exhaustion at every opportunity. By the 8th round Ali's brainy strategy had clearly beaten Foreman's braun when he was knocked to the canvas and the fight was stopped by the referee.
This program is autographed in 7-8/10 black sharpie by the victorious Ali. The program itself is NM-MT and has some light creases at the spine. Held together by two staples, the program is in it's original state and fully in tact. A beautiful autograph from Ali comes with a full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services (A27277).
