This is an outstanding game-worn and
autographed Baltimore Orioles cap from Hall of Famer Eddie Murray from
the mid-1980's when the great star was in the middle of his legendary
career that would produced 504 home runs, 3,255 hits and 1,917 runs
batted in and a legacy that earned him the monicker "Steady Eddie." So
steady in fact that he managed to join the 500 Home Run Club without
ever hitting 40 home runs in a season, the only man in history who ever
managed that.
The famed "Smiling Bird" logo appears on the
front of the cap in blazing Orioles orange and black. On the inner band
is the manufacturers tag, the MLB logo tag and the adjacent Size 7 1/2
flag tag. The cap shows excellent game-use with heavy sweat staining on
the inner band and dome and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
Murray has signed in black marker on the orange brim.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the longtime Orioles Scouting Director, Tom Giordano. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
