Very rare March 2, 1962 program for the contest between the Philadelphia Warriors and New York Knicks played at the Hershey Sports Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania in which Hall of Fame Warrior center Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points to set the NBA single game scoring record. The meaningless late season game was lightly attended with only a little over 4,000 fans in the arena. Many came to see the first game of the double header, a match between players of the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Colts. By the end of the 3rd period Chamberlain's point total was 69, just 4 points behind his NBA single game record of 73. With his teammates feeding him the ball and the Knicks fouling everyone except Wilt and trying to slow down the game, Wilt finally reached the 100-point mark with 46 seconds remaining. Several hundred fans rushed the court and caused almost a 10 minute delay before the game could be completed. Wilt finished the game with a record 36 out of 63 field goals and the 50% career free throw shooter shot an amazing 28 of 32.
Inside the program, only Chamberlain's totals have been filled in with blue ink after the game with the following notations: "New NBA Records - most Field Goals in game 36 - most foul goals in game 28 - most Points in game 100 Points". Large black & white photo of Chamberlain on the cover. Inside loaded with period ads and a few articles. Program in overall very good condition with a few light creases, tight spine and some light soiling/rusting to covers. Displays well. Super rare memento from a historic feat that will never be surpassed!
