Upon his arrival in Boston in 2001, Manny Ramirez transformed the beloved, but "cursed" franchise from a pretender, to a contender, to World Champions. Since that time even his harshest critics have come to respect his raw power and talent that made him one of the most feared sluggers of his generation. Presented is his home white Red Sox game worn jersey from 2005 which displays the light use expected in modern jerseys and the classic style of the beloved Sox. Across the chest in double-layer tackle twill is "Red Sox" and on the verso is his large number "24" in the same style. On the tail is sewn a Majestic tag, with embroidered strip tag underneath that reads "24-56-05" (number, size, year). The essential "0062" code appears on the inside wash tag as well. Ramirez has signed the back number in black sharpie. An authenticity hologram from Manny’s own memorabilia company appears on the front tail tag.
