The late John Reger was a hard-hitting linebacker for nine seasons (1955 to 1963) with the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his 12-year NFL career – for three seasons he played for the Washington Redskins – he pulled down a total of 15 interceptions and made 20 fumble recoveries. Offered within this lot is Reger’s game worn Pittsburgh Steelers road jersey dating to the 1962 and ‘63 seasons, his final two campaigns in the Steel City.

The white durene jersey boasts his uniform number in black on yellow double tackle twill on the front and back. On the interior of the left front tail are three manufacturer’s tags sewn in including the Rawlings Action Tailored [size 50] label, the Pittsburgh Sports Shop Sporting Goods label and a laundry instructions tag. Both sleeves boast black and yellow bands above the elbow with his uniform number “50” in black numerals on a yellow background. Given its age, the jersey is in remarkable condition with moderate wear evident, compete with crotch flap still intact.

Pittsburgh Steelers Game Used COA attests to jersey’s provenance with its matching hologram (#GU-105676) affixed over the laundry instructions tag. Includes LOA from MEARS graded a perfect A10.
