The 2001-02 NBA season marked the Los Angeles Lakers third straight NBA title. A four-game sweep of the New Jersey Nets in the NBA Finals clinched the three-peat for L.A. A 23-year-old small forward named Kobe Bryant was one of the biggest reasons behind the team’s three straight championships. This lot features Bryant’s signed and inscribed game-issued home jersey from that season.

The gold Nike jersey (size 50) reads “LAKERS” across the front in purple on white tackle twill. His uniform number “8” follows below in white on purple tackle twill. The front left tail includes a “Nike” manufacturer’s tag, alongside a “NBA Authentics” tag and a “Length +4” flag tag. The left chest area is porting the official NBA red, white and blue embroidered logo. The back of the jersey reads “BRYANT” arched in purple tackle twill outlined in white. His uniform number “8” repeats on the reverse in white tackle twill outlined in purple. Bryant signed the back number and inscribed it “To Coby, Congrats + Best Wishes.”

Includes LOA from former NBA player Coby Karl, son of longtime SuperSonics coach George Karl. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
