Many would argue that Michael Jordan is the greatest single athlete to ever play a professional sport in this country, and surely there is much to back up that claim. Selected as the third overall pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984 draft, Jordan quickly emerged as one of the stars of the league, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. Over the next decade and a half plus Jordans' accolades would include six NBA Championships, five MVP awards, fourteen NBA All Star Game appearances and ten scoring titles, to name just a few. He would end his career with one word "Dominant".

The lineage of the offered jersey traces back to another NBA superstar, Joe Dumars.  Dumars was a Jordan rival at the top his game in 1989, helping lead the “Bad Boy” Detroit Pistons to back-to-back titles in 1989-90. An accompanying letter describes how this jersey was obtained by a longtime Pistons season ticket holder who acquired it at a fundraiser hosted by Dumars. This Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan road jersey has the supremely iconic number "23" screened in black and white on chest and verso, where the words "Bulls" and "Jordan" are announced respectively. The front left tail displays a "Chicago Bulls" exclusivity strip-tag, along with a "MacGregor / Sand-Knit manufacturer's tag with adjacent size “44” flag tag. Two more strip-tags have been sewn to the front left tail, one displaying the year "89" and the other featuring "2"LB." The jersey shows appropriate wear for this era and for Jordan. It includes a LOA from MEARS (A10) as well as a “10” rating from Photo-matching & Grading Co. (PM&G). All told, this is a perfect example with excellent provenance.
