Robert Reid was a small forward/shooting guard who played his first 10 NBA seasons for the Houston Rockets. From 1984 through 1988, he donned jersey number “33” for the Rockets and helped the team battle all the way to the NBA Finals in the 1985-86 season before bowing to the Boston Celtics in six games.
This lot features Reid’s mid-1980’s game worn Houston Rockets home jersey. The white mesh garment reads “Rockets” across the front in red tackle twill followed beneath by his uniform number “33” in similar fashion. The left front tail includes the proper Action Tailored “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag [size] 42 complete with washing instructions. "REID” and “33" is formed on the back in red tackle twill fashion as well. The collar and both sleeves are sporting red and yellow elastic trim. The jersey exhibits moderate use with a pair of soiled stains appearing on the bottom front.
