Kennesaw Mountain Landis served as commissioner of baseball from his election in 1920 until his death in 1944, shortly after which he was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Landis inscribed the first inside page of this first edition “1943 Baseball Official Major and Minor League Records” book that was published in 1943. His inscription reads, “To Douglas Hamilton Keane from his friend and colleague Kennesaw M. Landis November 5, 1943.” The 736 page book is in good condition, given its age with a tight spine and all of the pages intact. Some of the pages display toning and the paper edges display minor edge wear. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
