Ossie Vitt was a product of the sandlots of San Francisco. He broke into the Pacific Coast League as third baseman for the San Francisco Seals in 1910. He later advanced to the majors as a utility infielder for the Detroit Tigers and embarked on a solid 10 year big league career with the Tigers and Red Sox. Presented here is a pair of 1910 and 1911 San Francisco Seals team 3.5" by 5.5" real photo postcards. Both feature printed team rosters and “Dingman Photo Co.” identifiers. Images for both are very crisp and clear in spite of heavy wear and creasing.  The backs have some adhesive and paper residue from album removal. Pair originates from the estate of Oscar “Ossie” Vitt.
