The offered Christmas card was among a trove of items that entered the marketplace from the Lou Gehrig Estate in 2001. This immaculately preserved Christmas card was produced by Lou and family in 1934 to offer season’s greetings and commemorate that year’s memorable Tour of Japan. The front shows a beautifully embossed scene of a high rise Japanese pagoda. Inside is another embossed scene of snow-capped Mt. Fuji looming above a waterfront serene waterfront setting. Original red ribbon binding intact. The interior is Imprinted, "Seasons Greetings From Japan - Lou Gehrig" in a Japanese style font. An incredibly beautiful piece that measures 7.25x5”. NRMT
