Tom Eakin was the founder of the Ohio Baseball Hall of Fame. In addition to running the private museum, Eakin organized the Cy Young Centennial celebration in 1957 in Newcomerstown Ohio. Eakin befriended numerous athletes of past and present generations and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia.
Presented here are four inscribed photographs that hail from the personal collection of Ohio Baseball Hall of Fame founder Tom Eakin. Subjects include Charlie Gehringer, Carl Hubbell, Lloyd Waner and Nellie Fox, all of whom have personalized inscriptions to Eakin. The vintage photos and uniform black ink inscriptions are of the highest quality, and the overall aesthetic quality of the group is nothing short of spectacular.
