During his 14-year professional basketball career (two seasons in the ABA and 12 in the NBA), power forward extraordinaire Maurice Lucas averaged a solid 14.6 points and 9.1 boards per outing. He played parts of eight different seasons for the Portland Trail Blazers. This lot features Lucas’s late 1970’s game worn Trail Blazers road jersey. The black mesh pullover jersey reads “blazers” across the chest in red-on-white tackle twill. Below the team name and on the back is his uniform number “20” in similar tackle twill fashion. Located on the right front tail is the Rawlings manufacturer’s tagging (size 42), complete with washing instructions, attached to which is a flag tag reading “2 INCH EXTRA LENGTH.” Across the back of the jersey is his last name – “LUCAS” – again in red-on-white tackle twill. Of special note is the fact that the letters of his last name have been professionally restored. The jersey is properly tagged and shows excellent use.
