With their win over LA in Super Bowl XIV, the Pittsburgh Steelers became the first team in NFL history to win four Super Bowls. Almost 104,000 fans watched as the lead changed seven times before the 4th quarter when Terry Bradshaw's 73-yard touchdown pass to John Stallworth and Franco Harris’ 1-yard touchdown run put the game in the bag for Pittsburgh. This game ball was from that historic game and comes from the Rams equipment manager. The ball shows great game use, with the amount of wear expected from a Super Bowl game used piece with turf scuffs and light staining and abrasions throughout. The ball has been augmented by the addition of two painted colored stripes upon which “GAME BALL SUPER BOWL XIV STEELERS 31 • RAMS 19 1/20/80” has been skillfully painted.
