Erving is one of the game's most loved ambassadors. He has also been voted one of the "Top 50 Players of All-Time," and his number has been retired by both the Nets and the Sixers. Offered here is his Sixers road uniform from the height of his reign in Philly. On the left front tail of this road mesh jersey is the "Wilson" label with the size "40," below which is a blank white label. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Sixers" in white on blue tackle twill, and on the back is "Erving" in white tackle twill. The player number "6" appears on both the front and back of the jersey in white on blue tackle twill. Included with the jersey is a pair of matching red mesh game worn road Sixers' shorts featuring red, white and blue trim. Wilson (size 34) and Pearson tagging appears in the interior waistband. An adjacent strip tag features "82 6" in blue chain stitch noting the year and player number. An embroidered 76ers patch is stitched on the right thigh. Both uniform pieces show the same excellent game wear. Erving has signed the back number of the jersey and front of the shorts in black sharpie. Given the condition, vintage and direct provenance, this is among the most desirable Julius Erving Philadelphia 76ers game worn uniforms ever offered at auction.
