In two varsity college basketball seasons at UMASS, Erving averaged 32.5 points and 20.2 rebounds per game, becoming one of only five players to average more than 20 points and 20 rebounds per game in NCAA Men's Basketball. In 52 career contests, he recorded a remarkable 51 double-doubles. Erving left UMASS in 1971 as the school’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder. He led UMASS to two Yankee Conference titles and the school's first two NIT appearances. The offered plaque was received by Erving in recognition of his Converse All-America selection for 1970-71. The 12” by 9” award features an actual paper certificate mounted to a wood plaque. He has autographed the front in black sharpie. This important early award recognizes Erving's significant achievement at the college level.

Includes a signed LOA from Julius Erving.
