A great companion piece to the letterman jacket, this is John Havlicek's 1962 Ohio State University sweater, a Size 48 Sand-Knit-tagged super-heavy wool classic in Ohio State grey with stitched scarlet "1962" affixed across the front and a single scarlet stripe around the left biceps. University-worn for sure, one imagines it might have accompanied the All-American to a English Literature lecture, or more likely - since the sweater is made of such heavy wool that it might be too warm for indoors - have been worn as he crossed the Columbus campus en route to basketball practice. The sweater appears to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition with nary a discouraging word to be found, not even with a whisper of fraying of the stitching around "1962." Like its letterman jacket counterpart, it is a remarkable piece of Havlicek memorabilia that's not likely to find a challenger in terms of import or historical significance. Comes with an LOA from John Havlicek.
