This massive Ohio State University basketball blanket owned by John Havlicek transports you back in time more than a half century to Havlicek's senior year in Columbus when the Buckeyes dominated the Big Ten and much of the collegiate basketball world. The unique blanket is all of seven feet in length and 56 inches across, heavy wool in blazing Ohio State scarlet, accented by a 10-by-12-inch grey chenille "O" at the center with three stripes and a red star, looking for all the world like it did in 1962 when Ohio State had two Big Men on Campus who were headed to the Basketball Hall of Fame as players - Havlicek and Jerry Lucas - and a third who would earn his induction from the NCAA coaching ranks: Bobby Knight. The blanket, looking in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition, has grey thread inscriptions in each corner as follows: 1) John Havlicek Basketball 1962; 2) NCAA Finalists 1961 & 1962; 3) NCAA Champions 1960; and 4) Western Conference Champions 1960, 61 and 62. Comes with an Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
