This amazing fleece jacket was worn by Hondo during the Celtics’ unparalleled decade of the 1960’s. A prolific memento of an era that saw banners accumulate in the Garden’s rafters at an unprecedented rate. The Size 44 Wilson-tagged home warm-up jacket is remarkably well-preserved, revealing minimal wear around the tagging and the two green-and-gold shamrocks on the shoulders or on the stitched and embroidered green and gold “Celtics” letters across the front. Likewise there is virtually to fraying of the intricate stitching on the removable “Havlicek” name strip on the back (metal snaps intact and unblemished); Havlicek has added a blazing silver Sharpie autograph and No. 17 inscription to the shamrock on the left shoulder. A true museum-quality Boston Celtic treasure. Includes a LOA from John Havlicek.
