NOTE: According to John Havlicek, this set was the equivalent to a championship ring. Only 12 sets were made and presented by Celtics management to players who had not received championship rings in prior seasons. It was the team's custom to award players one championship ring for their first championship, and other awards such as this or a watch, etc. for subsequent championships. Havlicek received both this set and a ring for 1962-63 because it was his rookie season.

In a fascinating piece that commemorates world titles that extend even prior to Havlicek's arrival in Boston. The six 2-inch tall sterling silver cordial goblets each have a simple inscription on each: 1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963, each marking a world title for the Celtics. The 6 1/2-inch serving tray has a black enamel surface and a 2-inch in diameter Celtics logo with green shamrock and encircled by "Boston Celtics World Champions 6 Times." All pieces are in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition, with the cordial goblets and serving tray edging displaying the typical tarnishing found on sterling silver. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from John Havlicek.
