But the main attraction of course is DiMaggio's black-ballpoint (9/10) signature on the first page opposite the introduction on the large black and white photo of DiMaggio. Second book is author Fredrick Lieb’s “Connie Mack, Grand Old Man of Baseball” providing an overview of the life and times of legendary ball player, manager and team owner Cornelius McGillicuddy (Connie Mack). This particular copy has been signed and inscribed by Connie Mack as follows: “To Lou Brissie –With best wishes for a long and happy career in baseball, and with the Athletic. Connie Mack – July 7th 1946” (9/10). The dust jacket is in fair condition with signs of wear and tear in front and 90% intact on back. The book is in EX condition with normal signs of aging.
