On February 5, 2016, the Cleveland Cavaliers celebrated Black History Month by dedicating halftime to Cleveland’s own: Jesse Owens. After a documentary of Owens’ life was shown, the Cavs presented Owens’ daughter Marlene Owens Rankin with a framed Cavaliers jersey complete with her fathers name on the back and the number 80 to signify the 80th anniversary of his 1936 Olympic triumph. See Getty 508646844 for this special center-court moment.) As a side note, it may seem odd to have Jesse Owens commemorated on a basketball jersey. But, in fact, Owens actually toured with the Harlem Globetrotters with whom he returned to Berlin in 1951 and appeared before 75,000 fans in the very place he made Olympic history 15 years before. The jersey has been professionally matted and framed to 34" x 42".

Includes LOA signed by each of Jesse Owens' three daughters.
