In 1976 Jesse Owens was declared an “All-Time Great Ohioan” by the state he called home for much of his early life. To commemorate the honor, Owens was awarded this silver presentation tray. The center of the tray certifies Owens’ title of “All-Time Great Ohioan” along with the date February 19, 1976 and the facsimile signature of Governor James A. Rhodes. The plate shows medium wear from use and slight toning from age.
Includes LOA signed by each of Jesse Owens' three daughters.
