No artist could
capture Jesse Owens’ speed better than LeRoy Neiman. His abstract
whirlwind style lends itself perfectly to the urgency of Jesse Owens’
dash to Olympic gold in the 1936 Berlin Games. In this 24" by 19¼"
limited edition lithograph, Neiman depicts Owens mid-stride, the fans in
the stadium just a blur as America’s greatest sprinter makes Olympic
history. Featured here is number 36 of the 100 limited edition lithographs signed and numbered by LeRoy Neiman and gifted by the artist to the
Owens family sometime after Jesse's death in 1980. The edition No. 36 is the perfect tribute for Owens' historical achievement at the ’36 Olympics. The print has been signed and numbered by the artist in bold 9-10/10 black marker, and with its special edition number it is easily the most valuable of the 100 Jesse Owens lithos.
Includes LOA signed by each of Jesse Owens' three daughters. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
