Presented here is a remarkably attractive unused full ticket from a Monday, June 5, 1955, ballgame at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, the 1 ¼-by-5-inch ducat looking just as it must have six decades ago as Jackie Robinson neared the end of his Hall of Fame career. On this day Robinson socked a two-run home run of Luis Arroyo of the Cardinals in the bottom of the ninth (Hodges on base), promptly turning a 4-3 loss into a 5-4 victory for the Bums. As noted above, the ticket is in wonderful condition, presenting essentially Ex-Mt, but probably would have to tolerate a lower official grade because of a crease on the left side that can be spotted only with diligent examination.
