In a series of events reminscent of Mark McGwire's respectful courting of the family of Roger Maris during the Great Home Run Battle in 1998 with Sammy Sosa, the 10-time All-Star Ichiro Suzuki took the occasion of the 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis to visit the grave of the great Hall of Famer and lifetime .340 hitter George Sisler, whose major league single-season record of 257 hits was surpassed by Ichiro in 2004 when he was a Seattle Mariner. At that time, Sisler's descendants, including his 81-year-old daughter Francis Sisler Drochelman, had come to Seattle to witness the historic moment, and so the ever-gracious Ichiro returned the gesture five years later. This snow white Official Major League Baseball Selig ball - complete with Ichiro's distinctive ballpoint signature on the sweet spot and his uniform No. 51 inscription - was presented to the Sisler family. The ball is essentially as-issued and in problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Sisler Family.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
