Freshly graded by PSA, this Mickey Mantle boldy signed #487 All-Star card from the 1958 Topps set received a 10 auto grade along with fantastic EX-MT 6 designation for the card itself. If not for horizontal off-centering, this card's tremendous combination of bright colors, sharp corners and clean borders would elevate it to an even higher standing. One of six signed EX-MT examples in the PSA pop, only three (all NM 7) have attained a superior card grade among 89 total dual-grades in the registry. And since it's likely at least one of those did not get a perfect 10 auto grade, this card could be the best overall version.
The Mick's fine blue pen autograph is neatly displayed at an angle across his road uniform. Our consignor, who built an amazing collection of vintage autographed cardboard over several decades, got this card signed by Mantle in-person at a collectibles show many years ago.
