Boomer's 1998 Perfect Game. Rags' No-No on the Fourth of July in '83. A Gator shutout during his '78 Cy Young campaign. A victory ball from Tommy John's 22-win season in 1980. This group of four game used and signed baseballs covers a wide stretch of pitching history from the storied New York Yankees. Coincidentally, all four pitchers are lefties.

1) In 1998 David Wells threw the second Perfect Game in franchise history, coming 42 years after Don Larsen's feat in the '56 World Series. He has signed a medium soiled OAL (Budig) ball from that unforgettable game at Yankee Stadium on the sweet spot with "Perfect Game 5-17-98" in 7-8/10 blue ballpoint. The Yanks went on to win that year's Fall Classic.

2) Dave Righetti, the 1981 Rookie of the Year, pitched a memorable July 4th No-Hitter against rival Boston in 1983. He has signed and inscribed a well-soiled OAL (MacPhail) ball from that game in perfect 9-10/10 black ink. Game notations read "No-Hitter 7/4/83 Yankees 4 Red Sox 0." Ball shows a ton of use.

3) Ron Guidry, nicknamed "Gator" for his toughness and Southern roots, went 25-3 with a 1.74 ERA and nine shutouts in 1978 to win the Cy Young and lead his Bronx Zoo boys to another championship. One of his best performances came on Sept. 24th when he hurled a 2-hit shutout in Cleveland. It came during an incredible run by the Yanks as they overcame a huge deficit to catch the Red Sox in the AL East race. Guidry has added his autograph and game notations -- including the date, score and win number "23" of the season -- in 9/10 black ink to a well-soiled OAL (MacPhail) ball from that game.

4) Tommy John pitched a gem on July 5th, 1980 against the Indians, going eight strong and allowing just four hits and two runs in a 3-2 Yankees win. In lovely black ink (9-10/10), the man known more for his reconstructed elbow has added his autograph and game notations, including the score, date and win number "204" of 288 in his 26-year career. The stamped labels on the presumed OAL (MacPhail) ball have faded off due to significant use and soiling.

Balls pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
