In terms of career records, the one that will probably never be broken, ever, is Cy Young’s unbelievable mark of 511 wins. While some might argue that that record was achieved while playing in a different era, one where pitchers worked much more frequently than today, it should be noted that his nearest competition from the modern era is still over 150 wins behind him. He was, without question, the greatest pitcher of his day and perhaps the greatest of all time. For that reason, Cy Young single signed balls remain so highly coveted among collector’s today. Presented here is one of the hobby’s premier examples. The Wilson Tri-State League baseball is signed by legendary Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young in beautiful 8/10 vintage black ink near the sweet spot. The off-white ball shows light soiling throughout with no distracting blemishes. This exceptional Cy Young single signed baseball was last sold by us in early 2014 for $42,955.
