Offered here is a high-grade 1959 Chicago White Sox American League Championship team signed ball including 26 signatures total. The ball reads “CHICAGO WHITE SOX” on one sweet spot panel. Hall of Fame signatures include Al Lopez (sweet spot), Early Wynn, Larry Doby, Luis Aparicio, and Nelson Fox. The ball shows no signs of aging or wear and the blue ink signatures are bold and legible. The 1959 Chicago White Sox had Hall of Famer heavy roster and ended the regular season winning the pennant with a 94-60 record, five games ahead of the runner-up Cleveland Indians. They would go onto the World Series to face the Los Angeles Dodgers who finished the regular season with a 86-68 record. The World Series lasted six games, when the Dodgers eventually proved themselves victorious. This would be the Chicago White Sox first World Series appearance since the 1919 scandal with Shoeless Joe Jackson. Overall, a very clean, high-grade team signed ball from the 1959 American League Champion White Sox. This lot is accompanied by an LOA from PSA/DNA (Cert. #: K47873).
