Harmon Killebrew hit 573 career home runs, eighth on the all-time list, as he topped the 40 plateau in eight seasons and captured six American League homer titles. A right-handed hitter with a big swing, the balding, round-faced "Killer" did not hit many line-drive home runs-most of his were towering fly balls that soared into the stands anywhere from the right-center field gap to the left field line. They usually were prodigious and memorable. So were Killebrew's run-production numbers over 22 seasons, 21 of which were spent with a Minnesota Twins franchise that shifted from Washington in 1961. Batting cleanup in a 1960s lineup that included Cesar Tovar, Tony Oliva, Rod Carew and Bob Allison, Killebrew provided the hammer for offensive-minded Twins teams that lost in the 1965 World Series to Los Angeles and claimed West Division titles in 1969 and '70.

In 1984 the doors to Cooperstown opened up and Harmon Killebrew took his rightful place amongst the game’s all-time elite. We offer the very pin that was presented to Killebrew, and worn by him on his lapel, upon the occasion of his entrance into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The 10K gold pin measures 5/8” and has raised lettering on front that reads, “Hall Of Fame,” above a silver baseball and raised diamond design. The back is engraved, “Harmon Killebrew-1984,” in block letters along with a “10K” stamping. EX-MT condition. This pin was formerly part of the famed Charlie Sheen Collection of baseball memorabilia and comes with a letter of provenance signed by Sheen.
