From Goose Gossage's personal collection comes a pair of OAL (Brown) August 4, 1994 signed and inscribed game baseballs used during the 1,000th game of his Hall of Fame career while pitching for the Seattle Mariners in his final MLB season. Remarkably, these balls constitute the first and last pitches of the inning. Gossage is one of only 15 pitchers to attain this lofty mark.

1) This was the first pitch Gossage threw when he entered the game with two outs in the 7th inning against the California Angels. The ball is neatly inscribed in blue by Goose on a side panel "Game Ball 1st Pitch 1,000th Appearance Anaheim Sta. Aug. 4th 1994". He later added his signature in black with "HOF 2008" inscription. Ball shows some game use.

2) This was the last pitch Goose threw that game as he retired the only batter he faced to get the win, bringing his record to (3-0) on the season. On the ball Gossage wrote in blue "Game Ball Pop-Up To End Inning 1,000th Appearance Anaheim Sta. Aug. 4th 1994". He later signed the ball in black with the inscription "HOF 2008".

LOA from Goose Gossage.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
