1978 World Series Hero trophy given to Hall of Fame closer Goose Gossage at a banquet in Kansas City after the 1978 season. Gossage has signed the back in perfect 9-10/10 looking silver felt tip pen. Wood base measures a little over 10" by 10" at the base and stands over 19" tall. Four baseball players stand at the corners on the first level of the wood base. Another stands atop a large cup with the Kansas city Royals logo engraved at center. Plate on 2nd level reads "Rich Gossage". Plate at lower level of base reads "1978 World Series Hero Eighth Annual Kansas City Baseball Awards Dinner January 27, 1979". Some tarnish to metal trophy. 2nd level of wood base has come loose from the bottom.
