1978 World Champion New York Yankee mini trophy presented to Hall of Fame closer Goose Gossage. For the 2nd year in a row the Yankees downed their Los Angeles rivals by the same 4 games to 2 margin. Pennants representing all the teams by name in the league surround a gold crown above a silver baseball. Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees World Series press pins stand in front. Black base has gold band in front with 1978 World Champions, New York Yankees. Printed below are the names of the manager, every coach and player of the team. Balfour sticker applied to bottom of base. Some wear to top of wood base where it appears to gold crown has come loose and scratched/dinged the surface. Crown itself does have a few areas where the gold has chipped, revealing the metal below. A truly significant player trophy from a key Hall of Fame member of that team!
