1974 Chicago White Sox white home jersey and 1973 white home pants game worn by Hall of Fame closer Goose Gossage.

Gossage was hit hard by the sophomore jinx in 1973, after a very good rookie season the year before, going 0-4 in 20 games with a 7.43 ERA. 1973 white pin stripe pants have "Gossage 28 73 Set 1" and Wilson Size 34 tags sewn in waist. Pants exhibit moderate wear.

Gossage came back in 1974 with a 4-6 record, 1 Save and a 4.13 ERA in 39 Games for the Sox. White pin stripe home jersey has "SOX" and "54" in red with white trim on front and large "54" in the same red with white trim on the back. "Sox" patch on left shoulder. "Gossage" is stitched in the collar. Wilson Size 44 and "74 Set 2" tags in front tail. Jersey displays light/moderate use.

Funny story about the signing process. Goose initially inscribed in the numbers on the back "ROOKIE SEASON GAME WORN JERSEY Goose Gossage HOF 2008" in perfect 10/10 black felt tip pen. After realizing his mistake during the first signing session, he crossed out "ROOKIE" and added "3RD" with the added quote, "it sure felt like my rookie season."

LOA from Goose Gossage.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
