On June 12, 1939, the ribbon was cut at the newly founded Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Each of these rare first day covers are affixed with a newly released three-cent stamp commemorating baseball's centennial and bears the postmark of that historic date. They are signed respectively by George Sisler, Gabby Hartnett (twice in pencil), and Dave Bancroft. Sisler and Hartnett examples are encapsulated by PSA/DNA. Also includes Beckett Authentication.
