George Foreman probably didn't expect to end up with his boyish, round face pummeled into a bloody mess after his fight with Alex Stewart, but that's what he got, and when the 10-rounder in Las Vegas was over on April 12, 1992, he was happy to escape with a swollen mug and a majority decision. For his part, Stewart took a rather dramatic pounding as well, as evidenced by his two hospital stays following the match. This red Cleto Reyes Professional boxing glove from the match likewise shows some of the scars from that epic battle, most notably a 1/2-inch "split" at the front of the left-hand glove offered here. The glove is in fine condition, disturbed only by a bit of loss of surface from the Cleto Reyes decal on the wrist and some adjacent loss of surface to the gloved itself. The glove is otherwise problem free and includes a black marker autograph and inscription from Angelo Dundee that notes "Foreman-Stewart Split Glove From Fight" and signed by the legendary trainer.

Comes with Letter of Authenticity from Angelo Dundee on his personal letterhead.
