Awarded to lefty pitcher Gary Wayne, this Josten's 10 karat gold ring features five round diamonds (.50 karats). The ring around the face reads "Minnesota Twins World Champions." One side is embossed with "Wayne" and the Twins logo; the other side features the World Series Trophy and is embossed "1991." This lot also includes the original personalized presentation box with the Twins logo on the inside cover. Drafted in the fourth round by the Montreal Expos in the 1984 MLB amateur draft, Wayne played with the Twins from 1989 to 1992 and had the great luck to be a part of the team that won one of the most exciting World Series ever. Five of its games were decided by a single run, four games decided in the final at-bat and three games going into extra innings. The Twins finally bested the Atlanta Braves 1-0, scoring the winning run in the 10th inning in Game 7. Wayne was also a member of the inaugural 1993 Colorado Rockies team. Measurements: Size 10 ½. Condition: excellent overall condition with minor wear from use.
