It is easy to see that the original owner of this signed Babe Ruth Exhibit card was extremely proud of it, as its “well loved” condition displays the look of a prized possession fondly shown off often and not hidden away in a forgotten drawer. And who could blame him? Babe Ruth has signed the front of this 1926-1929 Exhibit Card in crisp blue ink that contrasts nicely against the warm sepia tones of the card. The postcard back of the card contains the signatures of some of his 1931 Yankees teammates including fellow Hall of Famers Red Ruffing and Earle Combs plus Hal Rhyne, Cy Perkins, Myril Hoag, and one indecipherable signature. The front and back of the Exhibit card shows good wear – the corners are rounded and there is surface scuffs present – but the presence of the Babe’s blue signature on the front and the additional players on the reverse overrule any condition issues with this piece. The card has been encapsulated and graded a GOOD 2 for the card and AUTO 7 for the signature by PSA.
Exceptional Babe Ruth Autographed 1926-29 Exhibit Postcard – PSA GD 2, PSA/DNA 7 Auto.
