Beautiful condition, extremely rare 1940-42 OAL(Harridge) baseball signed by Hall of Fame members Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Red Ruffing as well as Jake Powell, Gee Walker, and Red Ormsby(?). It is extremely rare to find a Lou Gehrig signature on a baseball from the 1940-42 period with PSA estimating they have handled less than 10 such balls in the past. Gehrig has signed on the panel above the stamping in 7-8/10 vintage black ink "To Bob - With Kindest Personal Regards Lou Gehrig". DiMaggio and Ruffing are on the panel to the right of the stamping. Both have signed in the same 8/10 looking vintage blue ink. The other 3 are on the panel to the left of the stamping and in the same 8/10 blue ink as the DiMaggio and Ruffing. Ball itself is just a shade off white and looks to have been well preserved in the original paper wrapping it came in along with the bottom of the original Reach box. Great looking signed baseball featuring Gehrig and DiMaggio together.
