Even when his Hall of Fame pitching career with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers, right-hander Don Drysdale spent some time during spring training sessions with his old team helping to hone the talents of some of the team’s up-and-coming hurlers. This lot features an early-to-mid 1980’s Los Angeles Dodgers home white uniform that Drysdale wore during some of the team’s spring training workouts at Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida. The white jersey (size 50) sports the name “Dodgers” in blue script tackle twill across the front just above his uniform number “53” in red tackle twill. The back of the jersey includes his last name – “DRYSDALE” – in blue tackle twill outlined in white as well as his uniform number (“53”) in similar fashion. The proper “W.A. Goodman & Sons” manufacturer’s tag can be found sewn-in to the inside of the rear collar. The jersey shows light usage with some apparent food stains on the front.

The matching pair of Dodgers white pants also show the proper “W.A. Goodman & Sons” manufacturer’s tag on the waistband positioned to the left of a sewn-on white nameplate with blue script stitching that reads: “Drysdale 38/28” reflecting the player, his waist size and inseam measurements. The pants reflect light usage. Finally, the team-issued, Pro Model L.A. Dodgers baseball cap (size 7 5/8) shows good wear and includes both the official MLB licensee tag as well as the “New Era” manufacture’s tag. “Drysdale” is written in fine-point black marker across the bottom of the cap’s brim.

Includes LOA from the Drysdale Family.
