Game used baseball from the April 4, 1955 contest in which the Dodgers Hall of Fame right-handed pitcher got his first official win for the International League's (AAA) Montreal Royals, a 15-0 shutout of the unaffiliated Richmond Virginians. On the Official International League (Shaughnessy) baseball Drysdale has inscribed "FIRST WIN IN AAA - MONTREAL 15 - RICHMOND 0 - 6 HITS - 4-27-55". Ball displays solid game use. The young, 18-year-old Drysdale went 11-11 with a 3.33 ERA in his only season with the Royals, his second and final minor-league stop en route to MLB stardom. A young Tommy Lasorda was a teammate of Don's on that '55 Royals team that won the Int'l League Title.
Includes LOA from the Drysdale Family.
