Anyone who followed the NBA in the 1970s remembers “Earl the Pearl” and the New York Knicks "Rolls-Royce backcourt" with Walt Frazier. Monroe would help lead the Knicks to back-to-back Conference Titles and an NBA Championship in 1973.

This Earl Monroe game dates from that period of Knicks dominance. “The Pearl’s” home jersey has “KNICKS” arched across the front with his number “15” below in orange and blue tackle twill. The neck and arm openings are ringed in orange and blue. The inside collar has the Cosby label along with size “44” and wash instruction hang tags. The back of the jersey has “MONROE” in individual blue tackle twill letters above his number “15” in orange and green tackle twill.

The jersey shows great game use overall with staining from use throughout. The right shoulder strap has a blue stain likely from storage. There are loose threads, some fading, and puckering presentation the tackle twill graphics from repeated laundering. The matching shorts have orange and blue trim on the sides and waistband. The Cosby label is sewn inside the waistband along with size and wash instruction hang tags with Monroe’s number “15” handwritten in black marker. The shorts show the same amount of wear and overall staining and loose threads as the matching jersey. A very hard to find photo matched uniform set from the Knicks great early 1970s dynasty era. The uniform set comes with LOAs from MEARS and Resolution Photomatching.
