This wonderful oversized PSA/DNA Type 1 photograph pictures the great Mickey Mantle in his road Yankees uniform. It appears to be taken in the early-to-mid 1950s based on Mantle's relatively youthful appearance. Sporting his outfielder's glove on his left hand, the Oklahoma Kid is leaning against the batting cage alongside members of the press, waiting for his turn to take some hacks.
At nearly 9" by 11", the size is just over the limits for a PSA/DNA jumbo holder. With creamy white borders and no surface issues, this is a premium example of The Mick in his prime. The blank reverse would seem to indicate it was team-issued, but that is just our guess. A must-have for any Mantle or Yankees collector, this would frame and display very well.
