Presented here is a stunning Type I photograph from the pioneer era of pro basketball. The image captures the largest crowd to ever witness a "basket ball" game up to that point, when 12,000 crowded into Cleveland's Public Auditorium on January 30, 1923 to see their hometown Rosenblums do battle with the Original Celtics (the New York Celtics).

PSA has encapsulated this gem, capturing an early, significant moment in hoop history.

There are notations penciled on the back by a photographer or editor marking the event, date, location and teams.
